About the Owner

Nancy S. Walk, a native of Pennsylvania, began riding at the age of 6 on a pony named Buster Brown. She soon graduated to her first show pony, Woden, and spent the majority of her pre-college years in a saddle. The establishment of Woden Walk was the culmination of a life-long dream and the beginning of a new and special relationship between the work and animals she loves. A graduate of the University of Hartford, CT, Nancy moved to Washington, D.C. then New York and finally Florida before being able to get fully back into the world of horses. In April of 2006, she completed a two-year course of study at the International Equine School successfully earning a Certificate in Equine Management.

Before and during that time of study, Nancy was the Facility Manager for Freedom Ride, a non-profit therapeutic riding program in Orlando, FL. The combination of hands-on management and study prompted her to begin planning for her own facility in which to care for the horses she has always admired and respected. "The whole focus of Woden Walk is to provide quality care and service to like minded horse people," said Nancy. "I had boarded my own horse and seen enough facilities to know exactly how I wanted my horse cared for and to know how I wanted to be treated as an owner and boarder. I have tried to provide that professional service with a warm and quality personal touch at Woden Walk." Nancy currently boards 6 horses including Elmo, her 17 hand appendix with whom she shows in hunter and equitation classes.
